Oppo has officially made its debut in the highly competitive tablet market. Alongside its flagship Oppo Reno 8 and the Oppo Reno 8 series, Oppo has expanded its range of tablets with the launch of the less expensive Oppo Pad Air in China. Regarding India, the release date is still not fixed. Here’s the expected price of Oppo Pad Air in India and its specs.

With its shiny dual-tone appearance on the back And its glossy dual-tone finish on the back panel, the Oppo Pad Air maintains the identical design and appearance as the original tablet made in the brand name. However, the company has decided not to use the brand’s logo on both sides of the device this time. Instead, they’ve come up with a design that looks like waves and adds an edgy look.

Oppo Pad Air Specifications

The tablet has a 10.36-inch touchscreen display with a 2000 x 1200 pixels resolution. Beginning with the display, it comes with a Pad Air sports a smaller 10.36-inch 2K LCD that has a 60Hz standard refresh rate and the ability to sample at 120Hz. The tablet can reach 360nits in maximum brightness.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 offers an Oppo Pad Air with its Octa-core processor capability. It has 4GB RAM included. The Oppo Pad Air has a battery capacity of 7100mAh and allows quick charging of 18W. The tablet’s hardware is in every aspect and is trimmed down to offer an affordable option for the Oppo Pad.

Oppo Pad Air runs on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. The company has switched to Snapdragon 680 chipset constructed on 6nm technology and includes Kryo 265 CPU CPUs and Adreno 610 GPU. It’s an Octa-core processor that supports 4G connectivity.

The storage capacity on the Oppo Pad Air can be extended using microSD cards. Internally, we get the 128GB Storage which can be extended up to 512GB using UFS 2.2. Furthermore, the device is compatible with USB mobile (OTG), allowing users to connect to other devices and share data.

In terms of cameras, there’s a Single 8MP (f/2.0) camera at the rear, with an 80-degree FOV and up to 4K at 30FPS video recording. The 5-megapixel (f/2.2) sensor in the front can be used for taking selfies and attending lectures via apps such as Zoom, Google Meet, and many more.

In terms of Connectivity, Oppo Pad Air features the Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.1, and a USB Type-C port. The tablet has quad speakers powered by Dolby Atmos to provide an immersive audio experience. In addition, the tablet’s dimensions are 245.08×154.84×6.94mm, and it weighs 440g.

This cheaper tablet comes from Oppo and has the same stylus accessory and keyboard as Oppo Pad’s original. It doesn’t have fingerprint sensors and instead relies on the camera-based facial Unlock (not more secure) for biometrics.

Oppo Pad Air Price in India (Expected)

The Oppo Pad Air has been priced at Rs 18,000 (expected) for China’s 4GB+64GB base variant. Besides, Indian users may also get this phone in a higher variant (6/128GB) for around Rs 20,000.
